St. Christopher’s is home to one of the United States’ youngest licensed pilots, Swayne Martin ‘15. At the age of 15 he began flight training, and was legally able to fly solo before he could drive a car solo.
Over Christmas break, he flew (via Delta) down to Gulf Shores, Ala. He met up with his friends Haley Howard and Rod Kellogg, both pilots that tow banners for a local restaurant.
“There's nothing better than hopping in a plane with close friends and just enjoying the skies.” Swayne wrote, “This is why I love being a pilot and flying the Carbon Cub SS. Thanks, Haley and Rod, for making this all possible!”
